Dr. Phil Scarlett is a general surgeon, with over 30 years of experience in abdominal surgery. A fully-accredited surgeon, Dr. Scarlett is particularly interested in cosmetic breast surgery. He has experience of 20 years in this field during which time is has treated many hundreds of patients.

Through his work with various breast surgeries and treating patients with breast cancer, where sometimes extensive surgery is required, he has developed a keen understanding on the aesthetic aspects of breast surgery and the importance of the breast shape as a matter of self-esteem for women.

Dr. Scarlett has a particular interest in breast augmentation surgery and has treated many women requiring breast implant surgery. In addition to breast implant surgery, he also performs breast reduction surgery for cosmetic or medical reasons.

All patients are seen by Dr. Scarlett personally for appraisal and medical assessment prior to breast implant surgery. All breast implant surgeries are performed in fully-accredited operating facilities and majority of patients are treated on a day surgery basis. In deciding to have breast implant surgery, patients are given full information about the options for their surgery, including advice with regard to the type of breast implants to be used, the shape and size of suitable implants and the appropriate positioning of implants.

When it comes to the placement of breast implants, older style implants have been found to be associated with a range of potential complications and the risk of deterioration of cosmetic results with time. Dr Scarlett has spent considerable time in the removal and replacement of breast implants where such problems have occurred.

Dr Scarlett also performs cosmetic and functional abdominal surgery, focusing on the aesthetic aspects of the abdomen. He performs both full and mini abdominoplasty procedures, along with liposuction in patients with excessive abdominal tissue that may be associated with medical conditions or aesthetic deterioration such as following pregnancy.
